AIDS/LifeCycle provides three options for bike shipping:
- Ace Ride – ships fully-assembled bikes to and from the Ride for participants who live in California.
- BikeFlights – has all of your boxing and shipping needs covered if you live outside of California and don’t want to deal with the hassle of traveling with your bike.
- FedEx – offers shipping of pre-boxed bikes directly to and from the event and offers discounted rates to AIDS/LifeCycle participants.
IMPORTANT:
- If you ship your bike independently with any shipping service other than through our partners listed below, DO NOT SHIP DIRECTLY TO THE COW PALACE. Only event partners listed are authorized to consolidate bike shipments for delivery to the Cow Palace. If you ship your bike with another shipper, please address it to your hotel, a friend in San Francisco, a San Francisco-based bike shop, or a shipping hub.
- When shipping your bike, you assume full responsibility for the timely arrival and condition.
- ***Please note: AIDS/LifeCycle does not accept responsibility for any damages or losses experienced during shipping. It is your responsibility to select the appropriate amount of insurance when booking shipping.
ACE Ride
ACE Ride offers bike shipping for participants who live in the state of California, and bike pickups at several key metro hubs throughout the state.
Pre-Event
ACE Ride offers pre-event shipping from Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Palm Springs.
Reservations must be made by May 15, 2024. After May 15, ACE Ride will continue to accept registrations as long as there is space (subject to availability).
Bikes shipped pre-event will be available for pickup at Orientation Day on June 1st.
Post-Event
ACE Ride offers post-event shipping from the Finish Line Festival Los Angeles to San Francisco.
Bikes shipped post-event to San Francisco are available for collection at the Sports Basement on Monday, June 10th from 1:00 PM** - 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, June 11th from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

FedEx
FedEx can provide shipping service to all of our participants via FedEx Ground. Bikes must be disassembled at your local bike shop before boxing your bike to ship to the Cow Palace.
FedEx can ship your bike in any pre-packaged cardboard box, but cardboard boxes cannot be reused and will be discarded at the Cow Palace, requiring you to buy a new box at the Finish Line
Pre-Event
Please bring your boxed bike to a staffed FedEx location and ship your bike between May 13th – May 25th and select FedEx Ground Service. Please check that your registered name appears on the shipping label and your bike box. Anything shipped after May 25th is not guaranteed to arrive at the Cow Palace by Orientation Day. You must pick up your bike on Orientation Day in Bike Parking directly from FedEx by 2 pm.

Post-Event
FedEx is also able to ship your bikes from the Finish Line Festival to your home and can ship bikes that have been packed in your hardshell reusable bike boxes and new (unused) cardboard boxes purchased at the Finish Line.
BikeFlights
Bikeflights is proud to offer bicycle shipping services to AIDS/LifeCycle. Using your own hard-case bike box, or by purchasing one of their reusable boxes, BikeFlights will ship your bike for delivery directly to the Cow Palace, and pick up your bike directly from the Finish Line for return shipping.
If you do not have your own hard-shell bike box, purchase one of BikeFlights' custom reusable bike boxes to make shipping a breeze. Available in a variety of sizes, and depending on the size of your bike, these boxes often require very little disassembly for shipping, saving you time and money when you arrive at the start of your event.

Orientation Day
All shipped bikes will be available to participants at the Cow Palace on Orientation Day. If you shipped with BikeFlights or FedEx, you will pick up your boxed bikes in Bike Parking between 8:00AM and 1:00PM. Once you have unboxed your bike, you will return your box and bike separately Bike Parking staff.
If you bike was disassembled for boxing, Bike Tech will be on-site at Orientation Day to help assemble your bike. Cost for assembly - $75 credit card only.
Please Note, if you shipped your bike in a box we recommend that you first visit Bike Parking to unbox and park your bike BEFORE you visit check-in. At check-in you will receive a bike frame number that must be applied to your bike before you leave for the day, and this is easier to do once your bike has already been unboxed and parked on a rack.
Pro Tips from our Bike Tech Team: Please be sure to visit your local bike shop 30 days before the Ride to make sure that the following items have been serviced:
- New Tires/New Tubes
- Drivetrain has been inspected
Brakes have been inspected and services as needed. The Ride will put 545 miles of wear on your bike.
Additionally we advise you bring the following spares with you on event:
- Cleats x 2
- Tubes x 4
- CO2 x 4
- Hand Pump/Frame Pump desired
Newbury Park Bike Shop
Newbury Park Bike Shop will be selling bike equipment, merchandise, and all other supplies on Orientation Day and throughout the week of the event. If you need last-minute equipment or apparel please see them near Bike Tech in the South Hall.
WARNING: Orientation Day is for the assembly of bikes and safety inspections only. If you are concerned that your bike has an issue you should come to Bike Tech for an inspection. DO NOT plan for Bike Tech on Orientation Day to provide you with your tune-up. Arrive at the Cow Palace with a Ride-Ready bike.
Shipping from Finish Line
If you purchase bike shipping through one of the shippers listed above, you will find all bike shipping services located in the Bike Parking area after you cross the Finish Line. See individual shipper details above.
Bike tech will be on-site to disassemble and pack your bike, and cardboard boxes will be available for purchase if you do not have a hardshell reusable bike box. Rates will vary depending on the destination (credit card only).
