Houston-Area ALC Training Series
We’ll explore White Oak Bayou Greenway Trail (WOBGT) on this nice Wednesday morning ride! Intent is for riders to become comfortable enough to ride the trail on their own for their own training and recreation when official ALC Training Rides are not scheduled. Riders will lead the way with the TRLs at the back for support and guidance. We’ll start at the Parking Lot at Stude Park (Google Maps Code 76X6QJJ8+59) and head north until the present end of the WOBGT at W. Tidwell St., do a U Turn, and head back. We’ll diverge on the Heights Hike & Bike Trail (HHBT) for a rest stop at the Local Foods Complex then continue back to WOBGT and ride to University of Houston Downtown. There we’ll do another U Turn and head back past the rest stop and then return to the Parking Lot at Stude Park. Ride will be rescheduled in the event of heavy rain.
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations!
