Thursday Morning on The Bayous
30 Miles Mostly Flat with some short climbs and descents
Meet: 7:30 AM
Ride-Out: 8:00 AM
Heavy Rain Cancels
The Houston-Area ALC Training Series provides friendly, no-drop training rides to help prepare you for AIDS/LifeCycle.
This Thursday morning ride will take us from Stude Park to the current end of the paved White Oak Bayou Greenway Trail at West Tidwell, then back to U.H. Downtown to the Buffalo Bayou Hike & Bike Trail, finishing back at Stude Park. We can repeat any section to get more miles. Route is entirely on trails, free of cars. There may be pedestrians and other trail users. Route is mostly flat but sometimes dips down closer to the bayou then back to street level, resulting in 1,000 ft of climbing over the course of the route. There are some water fountains on the trails. Restroom is at The Water Works off the Buffalo Bayou Trail.
