Welcome to the Marin Marauder’s Progressive Sunday Rides Training Series. The Spring Progressive rides are designed to get you ready for the epic Big ride in June. We start off with smaller rides and build each week until you are riding over 100 miles a day and climbing like a pro. If you take part in this series you will most certainly be ready for ALC 2023. Not only are the rides epic, but the scenery and the people are too. We are a warm and welcoming group of cyclist of all ages and shapes. All AIDS/LifeCycle official training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace.

Our last ride of the season is to celebrate all you have accomplished. It is a special event as it represents the ANNUAL Marin Marauder BBQ ride!. From Hal Brown we will head over White Hill for the last of many times this year. From there cyclist will meander along some beautiful country roads to Samuel P. Taylor Park. Upon arriving at the “Magic Tree” you will be served a lunch of BBQ Chicken, Cheeseburgers and other goodies (Vegan options will be available). After lunch and some laughs cyclists will ride back to Hal Brown. You MUST RSVP for this ride as we need a headcount for food. You are also welcome to drive to the park. Each car will have to pay an entrance fee of $8.00. Cyclists are free. There is no cost, but donations to the Marauders are always accepted! This is one you don’t want to miss!

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP so we have an idea of whose coming. Have questions? Contact Ken and Temo at marinmarauders@gmail.com

REQUIRED ITEMS: bike, helmet, water bottle(s), tire changing tools, and a mask.

COVID-19 Policy: Vaccination is required to participate. All participants must have received one Johnson & Johnson dose or the second Pfizer/Moderna dose at least two weeks before the Training Ride. Masks are required when 6’ of social distancing cannot be maintained. This includes rest stops, indoors and in vehicles with more than one person.

Parking: The rangers have politely asked us to NOT park directly in front of the park. Rather park further down Bon Air Road or on the opposite side of the street from the Park. By doing so, we will give greater access to the park by other patrons
