Welcome to the Marin Marauder’s Progressive Sunday Rides Training Series. The Spring Progressive rides are designed to get you ready for the epic “Big Ride” in June. We start off with smaller rides and build each week until you are riding over 100 miles a day and climbing like a pro. If you take part in this series you will most certainly be ready for ALC 2022. Not only are the rides epic, but the scenery and the people are too. We are a warm and welcoming group of cyclist of all ages and shapes. All AIDS/LifeCycle official training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace.

Alright! Since January we have worked up to this ride. The Century. All your hard work training will pay off today as we complete 101 miles with 5027 feet climbing. From Hal Brown we will head over to San Rafael and climb Lucas Valley to Big Rock (the hard direction) and have a stop at mile 19 at Rancho Nicasio. From there we will climb Cheese Factory (aka Kenny’s Climb) and keep going into Petaluma for a food stop at Petaluma Market at mile 35. Once rested we will head out Bodega Ave to Valley Ford Road and take it all the way to Valley Ford where we will have another rest stop at mile 53. Backtracking slightly to Shoreline Highway we will do some climbing and then drop down into Tamales. Of course, as long as we are there, we might as well partake in Tamales Bakery! We will then keep going on Shoreline Highway all the way to Pt. Reyes Station before heading back through Samuel P. Taylor Park. It will be a long day, but a very rewarding one.

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP so we have an idea of whose coming. Have questions? Contact Ken and Ron at marinmarauders@gmail.com
