Training Wheels is a welcoming and inclusive group of riders in the South Bay area. We welcome riders of all skill and experience levels. Our training gradually increases strength and endurance over the season, building steadily to a fitness level where you will ride to LA! And have fun while doing so.

It’s time to visit the turkeys in the canyon, and be awed at the water and greenery all over on this ride. So close that we can bike to it, and yet it seems like another world.

And accomplished you are. At this point in the season, things are settling into place. You’ve worked out nutrition and bike fit, gotten your kit together, and have figured out what works for you in terms of chamois creme or alternatives. 80 plus miles, fundraising for a great cause. You are amazing.

Everyone is welcome, even if you got a late training start, modifications are available.

Parking: Street parking is available on Pear Ave. If you park in the lot, you risk getting towed. That would be a bummer so make sure to park on the street.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP so we have an idea of who’s coming. Have questions? Contact Tim Butler at alctrainingwheels@gmail.com

REQUIRED ITEMS: bike, helmet, water bottle(s), tire changing tools, and a mask.

COVID-19 Policy: Vaccination is required to participate. All participants must have received one Johnson & Johnson dose or the second Pfizer/Moderna dose at least two weeks before the Training Ride. Masks are required when 6’ of social distancing cannot be maintained. This includes rest stops, indoors and in vehicles with more than one person.
