54 Miles, Rolling Hills and a Few Steep climbs

Ride-Out: 8:00 AM
Meet at Townie at 7:30 am, Ride out at 8. We’ll pop over to Rose to get ourselves a quick warmup, then down to Starbucks at 111 & Bob Hope for our 1st pit. Then, it’s up the 74 to the visitor’s center, a steady 4 mile climb. There’s an option to only go half way, if you’re not ready for a longer hill. Then, we head back down the hill by The Living Desert and around Palm Desert to pit 2 at Starbucks at Country Club & Monterey. Then, back home down Dinah Shore & Dumuth Park for a nice half century (54 miles).

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!

REQUIRED ITEMS: bike, helmet, water bottle(s), tire changing tools, and a mask.
COVID-19 Policy: Vaccination is required to participate. All participants must have received one Johnson & Johnson dose or the second Pfizer/Moderna dose at least two weeks before the Training Ride. Masks are required when 6’ of social distancing cannot be maintained. This includes rest stops, indoors and in vehicles with more than one person.
