This June, I’ll be joining 3,000 others making the week-long, 545 mile journey from SF to LA in order to raise awareness, eliminate stigma and end HIV/AIDS as part of AIDS/LifeCycle 2020. I’ve set a fundraising goal, and I need your help to achieve it! The funds we raise help ensure San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center can provide their life saving services to those in need for free!
When considering supporting my efforts, I want to let you know there’s an easy way to double (and in some cases, even triple) your impact. Have you heard of matching gifts? A matching gift is a charitable donation by a corporation that matches an employee’s donation to an eligible nonprofit organization – usually dollar for dollar, but sometimes more!
A staggering $1million (plus) of the $16.8 million raised for AIDS/LifeCycle 2019 was from matching gifts.
